Ambush Predator!
The Nimbochromis polystigma is the focus of this, Episode #13, in my #JUVIEHAPNATION series. The polystigma, a true ambush predator, is quickly becoming one of my favorite haps. I hope you enjoy this installment.

FULL TANK BREAKDOWNS (subject to change)
60 Gal Tank Details:
Filtration: 2 SunSun 302s stuffed with sponges, Biohome Ultimate and MarinePure Cermedia and Seachem Purigen + two sponge filters that are attached to a ZooMed rotating powerhead, along with canister output attachments, also from ZooMed (courtesy of a Jay Wilson Giveaway, visit his Facebook group: The Aquatic Lounge).
Plants: plastic plus LIVE Anubias and Java Ferns.
Rocks: Lava Rock and "Wonder Stone" (available on eBay).
Substrate: Caribsea eco-complete Cichlid Specific (shells/coral).
Heater: Eheim Jager 300watt submersible.
Lighting: 48" T-5 on a timer.
***135 Gallon Tank Breakdown***
Filtration: Fluval FX 6 filled with sponges, Fluval ceramic rings, Seachem Purigen and a SunSun 704B filled with sponges, bio balls, ceramic rings, Pinky Floss and Seachem Purigen. 704B UV is used two days week.
Heaters are two 300 watt Eheim Jagers connected to a controller from Jehmco.com, keeping things at 78 F degrees.
Lighting 2 36" Beamswork LEDs and the Powerhead is a dual adjustable head 1600 gph SunSun unit.
Substrate is Nature's Ocean Bio-Activ Live Aragonite "black" (looks more gray than black which is fine since it doesn't show every micro spec of detritus).
Background and rocks are from Universal Rocks (use Jay Wilson's 15% discount code at check out!), along with some lava rock brought over from the 60 gal to help with beneficial bacteria development.
